Who we are
BareFeedback is operated by DigitalCommerceAssets L.L.C, doing business as BareFeedback (“BareFeedback,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), a New Jersey limited liability company. BareFeedback provides tools that help businesses collect, organize, and display customer feedback.
1. Scope of this policy
This policy applies to barefeedback.com, the BareFeedback dashboard, hosted feedback boards, feedback forms or widgets powered by BareFeedback, and communications with us.
A business using BareFeedback may collect feedback through its own website or board. That business decides why it collects the feedback and may have its own privacy policy. When we process information for that business, we generally act as its service provider or processor. Questions about a particular business’s use of your feedback should be directed to that business first.
2. Information we collect
Account information
When you create or manage an account, we may collect your email address, display name, password in hashed form, account settings, plan, and subscription status.
Projects and content
We collect information you add to the service, such as project names, descriptions, website URLs, display preferences, colors, board settings, feedback posts, status labels, and votes.
Feedback-submission information
People submitting feedback may provide a title, description, and optional email address. A workspace owner determines whether and how this information is requested and used.
Billing information
Stripe processes subscription payments. Stripe may collect payment-card, billing, transaction, device, and fraud-prevention information under its own Privacy Policy. We receive limited billing information such as Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, plan, payment status, renewal date, and cancellation status. We do not store full payment-card numbers.
Technical and usage information
We may collect browser or device type, user-agent information, timestamps, request and error logs, and authentication or security events. To limit duplicate voting and abuse, an IP address may be converted promptly into a one-way keyed hash; we use the hash rather than retaining the raw address for that purpose.
Support, communications, and migrations
We collect information you send when contacting support. If you choose to migrate content from another feedback service, we process the export or other information you provide to complete that migration.
3. How we use information
We use information to:
- provide, maintain, personalize, and improve BareFeedback;
- create accounts, authenticate users, and remember account preferences;
- display and manage projects, feedback, boards, and votes;
- process subscriptions and keep plan access current;
- provide support and send service, security, billing, or policy communications;
- detect fraud, abuse, security incidents, and violations of our Terms;
- debug errors, monitor reliability, and protect the service; and
- comply with law, enforce agreements, and protect rights and safety.
6. Public boards and customer responsibility
Project owners can make boards public. Content posted to a public board—including feedback titles, descriptions, statuses, and vote counts—may be visible to anyone and may be copied or indexed outside BareFeedback. Do not submit confidential, sensitive, or personal information to a public board.
Workspace owners are responsible for configuring their boards, providing any notices required for their users, and having a lawful basis to submit or import information into BareFeedback.
7. How long we keep information
We retain information while needed to provide the service, maintain your account, meet legal or accounting obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and protect the service. Retention periods vary by the type of information and why it is used. Information may remain for a limited time in backups or security logs after deletion from active systems.
8. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Keep your credentials confidential and contact us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.
9. Your choices and privacy rights
You may update certain account information in your dashboard and cancel a paid subscription through the available billing tools. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to request access, correction, deletion, or a portable copy of personal information, or to appeal a decision about a privacy request.
Send requests to hello@digitalcommerceassets.com. We may need to verify your identity and authority before completing a request. If BareFeedback processes information solely for one of our business customers, we may direct your request to that customer.
Because we do not sell personal information or use it for cross-context behavioral advertising, we do not currently offer a separate sale or targeted-advertising opt-out.
10. Age requirement
BareFeedback is intended only for people who are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a person under 18 has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
11. United States processing
BareFeedback is operated from the United States. If you access the service from another country, your information may be processed in the United States and other places where our service providers operate, which may have different data-protection laws than your country.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as BareFeedback or applicable requirements change. We will post the revised policy here and update the “Last updated” date. If a change is material, we may provide additional notice through the service or by email when appropriate.
